A well between Kadesh and Bered, where the fleeing Hagar was turned back (Ge 16:14), where Isaac met his bride (Ge 24:62), and where he dwelt after Abraham's death (Ge 25:11). 'Ain Muweileh, about 50 miles S.W of Beersheba, has been suggested as a not impossible identification. It is a station where there are several wells, on the caravan route from Syria to Egypt.
